About QR Quick Pick
QR Quick Pick was built to solve one small, annoying problem: most "free" QR code generators aren't really free. They stamp watermarks on your codes, hide the download button behind a sign-up wall, expire your codes after two weeks, or route your link through a tracking redirect you don't control.
This one doesn't. Paste a link, pick your colors and size, download a clean square PNG. No account, no watermark, no expiration, no tricks.
How it works
Everything runs directly in your browser. When you generate a code, your URL is converted into a QR pattern by JavaScript on your own device — it's never uploaded to a server. That's why the tool is fast, works the same on a phone or a laptop, and why your codes never expire: the code you download is a plain image that belongs entirely to you. It encodes your URL directly, with no middleman.
What people use it for
- Restaurant menus — print a code on table tents that opens your menu page.
- Business cards and flyers — link to your portfolio, booking page, or store.
- Event invitations — send guests straight to an RSVP form or map pin.
- Product packaging — connect a physical product to instructions or registration.
- Wi-Fi-free sharing — move a long link from a screen to a phone in one scan.
Tips for QR codes that actually scan
- Keep contrast high. Dark code on a light background scans best. The generator warns you if your color combo is risky.
- Size for distance. A rule of thumb: the code should be about one-tenth of the scanning distance. A code scanned from 10 inches away should be at least 1 inch wide. For posters, use the 1024 or 2048 pixel download.
- Leave a quiet zone. Keep a margin of empty background around the code when you place it in a design.
- Test before you print. Scan your downloaded PNG with a couple of different phones before sending anything to the printer.
- Use a short URL. Shorter links produce simpler, easier-to-scan patterns.
